Shaping a sovereign AI infrastructure proposition for Vodafone
Here’s what
Vodafone was developing a new sovereign GPU-as-a-Service proposition for European businesses. The opportunity was clear. AI was driving demand for more computing power, but the market was still taking shape, and buyers were only beginning to understand what they needed from GPUaaS.
We helped Vodafone turn an emerging technology into a proposition grounded in real customer needs.
We spoke to senior IT decision-makers across Germany, Ireland and Portugal, spanning public sector, healthcare, manufacturing, transport and energy. We explored how businesses were approaching GPU infrastructure, what would make GPUaaS valuable, and how Vodafone's proposition compared with existing options.
So what
The findings gave Vodafone a clearer route from technology concept to market proposition – features, service wrapper, buyer journey and messaging levers. We also identified the trajectory of take-up particularly through the lens of sovereignty and data security to inform targeting and go-to-market strategy.
Now what
Vodafone left the work with a sharper proposition and clearer priorities for bringing it to market.
The findings showed where the offer could genuinely stand apart, which customers to focus on first, and what Vodafone needed to prove to build credibility in a new technology category. It also gave the team clear direction on service design, pricing transparency, migration support and the evidence needed to turn interest into adoption.
